Call for papers for Volume 17 (2026) of the Czech Yearbook of Public & Private International Law (CYIL)
18.04.2026 12:52The Czech Yearbook of Public & Private International Law invites contributions to its volume 17 (2026). In 2023, the Yearbook should focus on the role of international and national institutions for international law, in addition to the usual rubrics.
This year we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1966 International Covenants on Human Rights (ICCPR and ICESCR) and 75 years of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. Therefore we welcome articles on both history and current issues of application of the UN Covenants and the Refugee Convention.
Authors both from the Czech Republic and from other countries who wish to contribute to the thematic section(s) are invited to submit their abstracts by 30 April 2026 and full contributions by 10 June 2026.
The recommended length of articles is 10 to 15 pages (Times New Roman font, line-spacing 1.5). The articles have to contain key words (max. 6), a short abstract in English and, for the Czech speaking authors, also a short abstract in Czech (max. 10 lines for each of them). Authors are encouraged to follow the style of the previous issues of the journal.
The Czech Yearbook of Public & Private International Law is a peer-reviewed English-language journal published by the Czech Society of International Law, acting in cooperation with the Czech Branch of the International Law Association.
The CYIL accepts articles and comments on Public International Law, Private International Law and European Law. In addition to the articles related to the topic of the volume, authors are also invited to submit contributions falling under one of the following rubrics of the CYIL:
I. Studies
II. Short articles, comments and discussion
III. Case-law
IV. Czech practice relating to international law
V. Review of books
The deadline for all the submissions is 10 June 2026.
The CYIL is a peer-reviewed journal. The submitted manuscripts can be accepted, rejected, or sent for revision. Authors are required to ensure that their contributions have the sufficient quality of English and/or were proofread. By submission of his/her contribution an author gives the consent to publication in printed and on-line version of the journal. The author is entitled to receive a printed copy of the Yearbook and an offprint of his/her article in the PDF form.
The CYIL, vol. 17 will be published in December 2026.
